Hi All,

Just wondering what joint affects you most when its playing up. Mine is my shoulder as it really seems to immobilise me and gets me down, I'm learning to cope with the others but this is the one which really gets me down. How all of you with young children cope I just don't know.

Hi Anne,

My elbow gave me lots of bother recently but I found heat a great help, I have a gel pack which I heat in a pan then apply ,I strap it on to keep it in place it works well. U can get them in Lidle they are not too expensive, and can also be frozen if you need a cold pack. They come in different sizes so one would fit your shoulder. Hope this helps. Lorna Smile

Morning Anne

Funnily enough it is my shoulders that give me the worst pain. I know you can never be sure if it is the meds taking effect, but I really have found swimming just taken it up,helps a great deal with the pain and aching and I pull my shoulders back too and even this helps, not forward, I find at night sitting fairly upright in bed helps and I always take two co codamol 30/500 before I go to bed.

Take care Julia x

Of the larger joints, I would rate shoulder pain higher than hip - one of my physio's agreed. The slightest arm/hand movement gives out excrutiating shoulder pain.

Me too, it's so debilatating, every thing we do seems to effect the shoulders and pain pills of all sorts can't get rid of it. I find that a heat pad can help.I think it's the Fibromyalgia as well. Glenys.

Hi Anne,

My most painful joints are knees and shoulders.

Hi Anne,

My worst has to be my hands and wrists. Feet were the worst to begin with but they're not as bad anymore. Shoulder was very bad last week so I had to have an injection in it. Never used to have problems with hips or knees but they've started to be bad now aswell. I find that pains seem to travel from one joint to the next each day!
